Hiking in the Highlands Day 2

The second day was much wetter, but we found a beautiful little hike that went up into the clouds with waterfalls and sheep.

We didn't go all the way up this one...

Today we are back in civilization, visiting our friends in Malpas, England.

Hiking in the Highlands Day 1

After Edinburgh, we headed to the Highlands to go hiking in Glencoe.  We stayed in a pretty nice hostel outside the town, but had bad luck with roommates: one snored and one smelled terrible.

The hiking was amazing.  The first day we hiked the Pap of Glencoe (so-named because it looks like a pimple...nice).  The views were worth it!

Finally the sun came out!
We walked along the river into town afterwords, to the little grocery store.

Arthur's Seat

The weather was beautiful today, so we were able to do a hike at some hills right at the foot of the Royal Mile, called Arthur's Seat.  The view was great, but it was so windy and cold at the top that we didn't last long up there.

Tomorrow we are headed to Glencoe for a couple of days of hiking, if the weather cooperates!
